(León, 1991). Elena Velado Alonso holds a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of León. She has also completed a master's degree in Agroecology, and has participated in research projects related to rural development. She is currently doing a PhD in Ecology, Restoration and Conservation of Ecosystems at the University of Alcalá thanks to a grant from the Tatiana Pérez de Guzmán el Bueno Foundation. Her project focuses on Livestock and Biodiversity, studying extensive livestock farming, native breeds and landscapes to improve the sustainability of agri-food systems. She has participated in environmental education and agroecology activities as a volunteer in the Andalusian delegation of VSF-Justicia Alimentaria Global.
