Sheila Gómez Andrés - violin

He was born in Astorga where he began his musical life. He moved to Oviedo where he finished his higher studies of violin and chamber music with the highest qualifications. In 2004 he took the postgraduate course "Expert Course in Musical Analysis and Performance", obtaining the highest marks.

He also attends courses given by the violinists Manfredo Kremer and Pedro Gandía, and is a regular member of the orchestra "Sphera Antiqua" (Madrid).

He has collaborated with numerous orchestras including the Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León, JONDE, Orquesta de RTVE, Orquesta Sinfónica de la Comunidad de Madrid and others.
He has made recordings for Radio Televisión Española (RTVE) and various record labels such as Warner and Deutsche Grammophon.

She currently combines her work as a teacher with her concert activity, complementing her training with violinist Natalia Lomeiko.

Since 2009 he has been a member of the "Cuarteto Eutherpe".

David de la Varga Rojo - violin

Born in León, he began his musical training as a child singer at the "Schola Cantorum Catedral de León".

He began his violin studies with Marco A. García de Paz and Jackek Niwelt.
Later he moved to Oviedo to study with the Russian violinist Arkady Futer, concertmaster of the "Moscow Virtuosi" orchestra. In 2002 he completed his advanced violin studies at the "Eduardo Martínez-Torner" conservatory.

She attended different advanced courses and during 2004-2006 she moved to London to receive lessons from the prestigious Russian violinist Natalia Lomeiko.

He has developed an intense activity in chamber music, being invited to form part of different chamber music ensembles.

He currently combines his concert activity with teaching at the "Escuela Municipal de Música, Danza y Artes Escénicas de León".
Since 2009 he has been a member of the string quartet "Eutherpe".

Daniel Lorenzo Cuesta - viola

He was born in Salamanca where he studied at the Professional and Superior Conservatories of Music of his city, obtaining the Extraordinary Prize of End of Studies.

His orchestral collaborations include those with the EUBO (European Baroque Orchestra, solo viola in 2008), Le Concert des Nations, Al Ayre Español, The Rare Fruits Council, Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla, Forma Antiqva, the Capilla de Música de la Catedral de Sta María de Vitoria, the Orquesta Sinfónica de RTVE, Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León among others.

During his time at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía, he was awarded in two courses
consecutive academic years as an outstanding student in Chamber Music with Rainer Schmidt (Hagen Quartet) and Marta Gulyas.

He currently combines his performing activities (modern and baroque viola and baroque violin) with teaching at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Burgos.

Jaime Puerta Polo - cello

He was born in León where he began his studies at the Conservatorio de Música de León. In 2000 he obtained the title of cello teacher awarded by the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de León.

From 1996 to 2002 he was a member of the Orquesta Juventudes Musicales Universidad de León as principal violoncello. In 2000 and until 2003 he was a member of the Youth Orchestra of the Principality of Asturias (JOSPA) as principal violoncello.
He then entered the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMuC) in Barcelona in 2002.

In June 2004 he passed the admission tests of the Joven Orquesta Nacional de España (JONDE) to which he belongs until May 2007 and of which he is principal violoncello.

He completed his higher studies in 2006 at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya.

From April 2009 to July 2011 he was a member of the OFM (Orquesta Filarmónica de Málaga). He has also collaborated with the OEX (Orquesta de Extremadura) and the OSPA (Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias).
He has been a member of the Eutherpe Quartet since September 2011.
