Fernando Gutiérrez has developed most of his artistic activity from a pictorial perspective. In recent years he has focused his production on drawing, experimenting with different procedures and techniques that have led him to incorporate collage as a work process and graphic intervention, animation and interactive animation as his usual supports.
His work is characterised by the use of fragmented narratives, intervening images of immediate consumption or from different archives. Mental landscapes, metamorphoses or dreamlike identities between innocence and perversion are some of his recurring themes, which instinctively end up appearing in his work within a subjective poetics of an emotional, sensitive and occasionally playful nature.
