Mateo Mena (Santiago de Compostela, 1983) is a sound artist and designer of electronic musical instruments. He has furthered his academic training with artists such as Nicolas Collins, Juan Matos Capote and Peter Bosch, among others. In 2015 he presented his latest electronic instrument, “The Hypercubes”, at the “Maker Faire” inventors“ fairs in Rome, Berlin, Santiago de Compostela and Lisbon, where he won the ”Maker of merit“ award for the best project in the electronics category. He is currently working on various artistic and scientific dissemination projects, such as the ”Electronic music workshop with everyday materials" with which he visited more than 30 schools throughout Galicia in 2016.
