Mercedes Saiz Martínez

(Actress, director, playwright)
Graduate in Dramatic Art from the Escuela de Arte Dramático de León. She has worked as an actress in different professional companies and under the direction of Margarita Rodríguez and Fernando Urdiales. With Teatro corsario, she won the “MAX” award for Best Newcomer for the play La barraca de Colón.
She directs the productions of the groups Kikodín Teatro and Trejoviana Teatro, with which she has won several directing awards. She is currently director and teacher at Aula T de Teatro, a theatre research centre, as well as the permanent theatre group at the FCAYC.
