Pablo Rioja is a tenured professor at the Centro Integrado de Enseñanza Musical “Federico Moreno Torroba”, a teaching activity that he combines with an intense concert life.
His links with chamber music are manifested in the founding of three groups with which he performs concerts both in Spain and abroad: the violin and guitar duo animAcorde; Cameristas Alternativos, an ensemble dedicated to the dissemination and research of chamber music with guitar, and the guitar duo L'Encouragement.
He has also won prizes in different guitar competitions, including 1st Prize in the III International Competition Valle de Alcudia - Sierra Madrona, Ciudad Real, 2nd Prize in the VI International Competition Villa de Aranda, Burgos and 1st Prize in the VI International Competition Ciudad de Elche.
Born in Madrid, he studied chamber music with Rocío Samper and guitar with Luis Briso de Montiano. In 2000 he concluded his studies at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid, obtaining an Honourable Mention at the end of his studies under the tutelage of Miguel Ángel Jiménez.
In 2009 he completed his musical training in the II Master's Degree in Classical Guitar at the University of Extremadura with the maestro Ricardo Gallén.
