Etcetera Puppets

Company founded in 1981 in Granada. The excellence and versatility of its work have made it a benchmark in contemporary Spanish theatre. Its work is synonymous with rigour and avant-garde. In 2014, the Ministry of Culture awarded it the National Prize for the Performing Arts for Children and Young People.

Its work could be identified by the staging of musical works with puppets for all audiences. The company is the leader in Spain in this genre, and with its work has opened the door to large theatres and festivals that now welcome puppets in their programmes. Beyond this evidence, what distinguishes its work is the poetry of its shows, the conscientious aesthetic search to create the puppets and the continuous research - artistic, technical and historiographic - as the motor and axis of all the projects. Among its missions is also the research, documentation and diffusion of traditional and contemporary puppet theatre.

In 2021 Cueva Secreta opened in Güéjar Sierra, a space for nature, art and gastronomy. A place to establish direct links with the public, through shows, workshops and various activities that establish a dialogue between the performing arts and the natural environment.
