The formation of the group Caamaño&Ameixeiras arose in 2018, but it wasn't until three years later that they began to release their own music. Florencio was the first single from Air! (2021), their first record. The album was a success for the group and revolutionised the Galician music scene to the point of them being awarded the Martín Códax da Música Prize in the Folk category.
After this first work, and transitioning from a cheerful and collaborative sound to one with dark and intimate tones, always maintaining Galician tradition as a base, the Galician group released in 2023 The little death y Woe is me, the advances of what was his second album, Let the air out (2023). On this record, they delve into Galician folk rituals, imbuing them with new meanings and creating an atmosphere where reality, magic, and religion converge.
In this 2024, Caamaño&Ameixeiras are immersed in the presentation of this latest record, where the first confirmed dates of the year will see the group pass through Barcelona, Girona, Austria, Belgium and Germany, thus confirming the international success of the project.
