Silvia Teixeira researches the intersections between art, science and thought. A telecommunications engineer, she has been working in the cultural sector since 2018. She has been part of the Medialab Prado team, coordinating the project Respiramos con Madrid, a research on air toxicity in cities using open source technologies and involving citizens. She is currently developing the research on the communal “Concejo Abierto: Aprendizajes sobre el comunal para habitar el porvenir”, in the framework of the NOTAR residencies of hablarenarte, Museo Nacional Reina Sofía and Fundación Daniel y Nina Carasso. She is also studying for a master's degree in Philosophy for Contemporary Challenges at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. Previously, she worked as a researcher at the European Centre for Nuclear Research (CERN) and the European Space Agency (ESA). She has worked with the Aula de las Artes of the UC3M, the UEM, the art and school network PLANEA and the CSIC, among others. She is co-founder of the Observatorio festival and makes cheese with her hands at Quesería hou.
