Signing of the agreement with ILC

The Instituto Leonés de Cultura (ILC) and the Fundación Cerezales Antonino y Cinia (FCAYC) have signed a collaboration protocol to develop for three years creative and research projects related to the territory, art, ethno-education and the cultural landscape of León.

In order to develop and support, in a coordinated and effective way, creative and research projects that are closely linked to our territory, the Instituto Leonés de Cultura (ILC) and the Fundación Cerezales Antonino y Cinia (FCAYC) have signed an action protocol that establishes, with a duration of three years, the appropriate framework to speed up the implementation of these projects.

Signed by Eduardo Morán, president of the Diputación de León and of the ILC, and by Rosa Yagüez, vice-president of the FCAYC and chief curator of the same, the protocol contemplates the joint execution of projects that promote research and the consolidation of the territory based on the work of their respective teams, as well as artists, creators and researchers, and the conservation of the material and immaterial memory of the peoples that make up the territories of the areas of influence of both institutions, but also the organisation of residencies for researchers in the field of ethnography, ethno-education and artistic creation. The protocol also includes the organisation of conferences, exhibitions, seminars and other research activities, transfer and dissemination of artistic, technological or scientific culture; the promotion of meetings, seminars and other activities; the joint use of infrastructures, facilities, equipment and services in order to develop all kinds of activities of common interest; the promotion of collaboration between the technicians of both institutions and, finally, the collaboration and promotion of the development of doctoral theses, master's theses, degree theses and other creations, both artistic and scientific-technical, with the aim of developing joint training and research activities in these disciplines.

Each project or programme of action under the protocol shall be the subject of a written agreement specifying the technical, legal and budgetary aspects of the action to be carried out, which shall be submitted to the parties for approval. These programmes shall contain, among others, aspects such as the definition of the object and results to be pursued, the description of a work plan, the total budget and the material and human resources required, the rules for coordination, execution and monitoring of the project, and the names of the persons who will be designated by mutual agreement and who will be responsible for the progress of the protocol.

The ILC and the FCAYC have already set up a Joint Commission, made up of two representatives from each entity, as a channel for permanent communication and cooperation, and with the aim of specifying the commitment to collaborate for the benefit of the aims and competencies of both entities, as well as the specific contributions and obligations of each party.

Both institutions consider that mutual collaboration can contribute to the better implementation of each other's activities, as well as to the optimisation of their material and human resources.
