On December 29th and 30th at 11 AM, the workshop will be activated where, Inspired by Joseph Beuys, the children living near the FCAYC will explore how creativity and every daily gesture — collaborating, imagining, caring — can become “social sculpture,” transforming our relationships and helping us build the world we desire.
Joseph Beuys believed that all people, including children, can transform the world using their creativity. For him, Art was a tool for social and political change., and simple actions were a way to act and commit to a better future. Beuys also spoke of the deep the connection between people and nature, pointing out that by caring for the environment we also transform our relationships and communities.
For two mornings, local children near the FCAYC will explore the term “social sculpture”, where every gesture —collaborating, imagining solutions, participating in the community— helps us to imagine the world we desire.
