Summer begins at the Cerezales Antonino and Cinia Foundation
The full programme for the summer station is now available, along with registration for the activities taking place at the Cerezales del Condado institution. From June 22nd to September 22nd, there will be workshops, concerts, screenings and presentations for everyone.

22/06/2026.- Cerezales del Condado (León, Spain). The Cerezales Antonino y Cinia Foundation is pleased to announce its programme for the summer season of 2026. Through seasonal offerings such as the TROPOS music and performing arts festival, the A CIELO ABIERTO series, or activities linked to the exhibition “Zoofuturism”, more than twenty options are presented for all interested individuals.
The month of July begins with the fourth "Common Bread" exercise to connect strangers on the 3rd. On this occasion, we will feature Carme Nogueira's proposal through flour production in mills and the memory surrounding bread production.
On the 14th and 15th, the FCAYC team is proposing the workshop Talon, beak, wing. Tools as extensions of a more-than-human body, where the different technologies shared by animals and humans will be explored through the exhibition “Zoofuturism”. The project “Herbarium. Prímula” will be activated on July 16th and 17th with research into the search for sideritis. Alongside botanist Estrella Alfaro and artist Javi Cruz, participants will get to know the plant through artistic and botanical approaches.
Next week, Marisa Amor will open the workshop for children. Baby zoo (from 21 to 24 July), focusing on corporal expression, which will bring the game of the animalistic to the bodies of all. On that same 24th of July, Laura Tabarés will present her audiovisual project “Montañas raras” (Rare Mountains), produced under the NUDO/KNOT programme in collaboration with the León Institute of Culture. The document is an audiovisual fiction that investigates the rare earth surveys carried out in the 1970s and 1980s in the province of León. On Saturday the 25th, the traditional orienteering race will take place, organised together with the association AFCON for all audiences, with a route for children and beginners at 5:30 p.m. and a competitive race at 7:30 p.m.
From 29 July to 7 August, we will be hosting an art installation named Chimera, created with the Createctura collective for everyone, in which through sensations new forms of life can be imagined, the body reconnected and space explored.
On August 6, FCAYC will host the Verbena Reading Party Zoofuturista, presented as a space for reading together and for guided visits to the exhibition. The afternoon will feature aRRe, a musical project by Fernando de la Flor, and will be organised by Beatriz Fernández and Magali Labarta.
In August, we will have three activities as part of the A CIELO ABIERTO programme. Firstly, from the 10th to the 13th, the workshop on visual anthropology and photography in the face of the eclipse will take place, titled Under the same sky: Image and territory in the face of the eclipse, under the direction of photographer Eduardo Marco Miranda. On August 13th, we will hold our usual stargazing event with a free meeting Perseids, constellations and other mysteries of the Universe, under the guidance of Teresa Torregimeno and Eva Nava. Finally, from the 18th to the 21st, we will have the workshop Constellations & asterisms: imagining the sky together, delivered by Taller Placer and aimed at families to draw, embroider and reimagine the firmament.
Furthermore, we will have two screenings this year: Hidden Atlas, by Anne-Laure Boyer, about the villages submerged in reservoirs, which will be screened on August 20; and the film essay by Emilio Fonseca and Xiana Do Teixeiro, Wild, wild, on the 19th of September.
The month of August will conclude with a guided tour of the exhibition by its curators, María Ptqk and Irene Ergueta Elorza, on 28 August.
On the other hand, the Foundation's Mycology cycle continues on 18 and 19 September with the session entitled Restoring ecosystems from the memory of the soil.
Lastly, the TROPOS festival will feature four performances. The two dates with performing arts will be Point of interest, from the D'es Tro company, on 31 July, and Wait, from the circus company “eia”, on 21st August at the Viesca recreational area, Vegas del Condado. The musical section will feature a concert by Max Ionata Quartet on 1st August, Baile Entero on 8th August, Amanda Mur on 15th August, and the group Carabela on 22nd August.
