“Seed-common-party. At the break of dawn”.” is a meeting that will take place from between the 18 to 22 August 2025 in the cultivation meadow of the Cerezales Antonino y Cinia Foundation, where the 2,800 square metres of wheat sown in connection with the research and exhibition project will be harvested. third master.
Under the guidance of wheat, this proposal encourages us to collectively go through the complete cycle of its cultivation, exploring it from multiple perspectives: ethnography, sociology, law and the arts. The cultivation field thus becomes a space for working, listening and dialogue, where learning flows in all directions.
The meeting will be attended by the following guests Gabriel Alegre, organic farmer; Francisco Fuertes, a resident of La Sobarriba, representing the popular knowledge of the countryside; Jose Luis Calvo, director of the Ethnographic Museum of Castilla y León in dialogue with Raquel Prado to talk about the bread and the commons, Sara García, contemporary artist whose artistic research processes rituals with bread as the centre.
For five mornings, at the break of day, we will share bread and knowledge looking both to the past and to the future. We will learn from the wheat and with the wheat how to chop the scythe, mow, sheave, net, winnow and store in the kilmas, recovering trades and knowledge passed down from generation to generation, and linking them with contemporary practices. It will be a collective work that transforms the work of the commons into a shared celebration.
This meeting is part of the cycles Tillage, Diners y Gesture, and is an essential part of the project's research process. Third Master developed by the Foundation.
