Foto Colectania Foundation
Foto Colectania Foundation is a private non-profit organization founded in Barcelona in 2002, aiming at promoting photography and encouraging photography collecting through exhibitions, activities and catalogue editions.
Foto Colectania has its own photography collection that comprises of more than 3000 works of Spanish and Portuguese authors from 1950 until today.
In 2001, it received the whole archive of Paco Gómez, a photographer of the School of Madrid. It comprises of 24000 negatives, more than 1000 original prints from a legacy dedicated to his creative work and the assignments of Arquitectura, the magazine published by the Official Association of Architects of Madrid, during 15 years (1959-1974).
Foto Colectania Foundation has always sought alliance and affinity with different entities and institutions, both public and private, in order to develop its activity. An important part of it is its program of travelling exhibitions, which has the end of sharing and spreading Foto Colectania’s collection around the country and abroad
